http://webnames.ru/ has a so called count-down which don't seem to work and is there probably just for attraction purposes. all major russian registrars will support that for sure. yes, there is a sunrise period and it's even unknown when it starts. many sure this year.

This is one thing Im not sure about. Why is it such a secret about when it will happen or launch? Other ccTLDs advertise a long time ahead of the launch to have as much interest as possible

don't fall into these "idn.idns" they only work with the plug-in from the selling company - that's it. they are doomed to be in trash. read: worthless.

it's not a secret, mulligan, they just state that it's not defined yet, too many complications are not solved yet, when the date is settled - they would probably advertise it a lot or at least after the sunrise. but again, with Russia it's always a mess. that's just a mentality, they don't think with mind, they think with heart. that's what i love about russian mentality.
