MJ there are no thought police on here, so I am not going to respond to your complaint. We can see through your little plots so freedom of speech will prevail on this thread.

I can see the problem, but olney really gave up the forum, the next thing to happen will be the database crash and all gone.

As for rd, the vb came too late, and the americans thought that mj should be given the credit for making the first move.

i guess this is a cultural difference.

Look lets get this straight once and for all.

Olney disappeared off face of map and MJ recognised he wasn't coming back.

Opportunity looms!

People start to drift here. But MJ does his damnedest to ensure that IDNFs stays afloat.

He then make blistering and wholly unwarranted attack on Jose to discredit DNLocal.

Next step is to pick on an issue that was the there regarding VB and to blow it out of all proportion. But worst of all he attacks the policy of this forum without even visiting it. He has been here more since he launched his new forum, and presumably the main motivation was to pick through our database. Perhaps we should have closed it and didn't.

Then when he has created the maximum amount of bad feeling he launches his new forum.

Yes, the American's probably have got the hump. They get fed up with being told unfairly that their economy is going down the shitter. They don't believe what is happening because they trust the President, the White House and all the bullshit and statistics that come out of it. It is, however, justified for any to talk about about the biggest sea change in the global economy in our life times. The way things are going and with the level of denial China will easily outgrow the US by 2020. In fact they won't have to work too hard because it going to be a two way street. The US is going to be coming down to meet them. Anyway, if they all want to go off and encapsulate themselves in a bubble over IDNChannel that is up to them. I prefer a bit of more robust discourse, but if you lot want to go over there and brown tongue then that it fine by me.

If MJ wants to come over here and mix that is up to him, but when he deliberately posts to cause trouble, it is no good crying to mummy.

Few Americans approve of the current president (less than one-third), and few believe what Bush says about the economy. President Bush has been unpopular in the USA for a very long time.

Poll: Bush's popularity hits new low - CNN.com

Membership at IDNChannel and DNLocal have nothing to do with news about the US economy.

It might not be for you, but there are definitely some who are affected. Even if RD grumblings are factual, i think it is human nature not to like to hear about negative news, particularly so when we are so used to hearing "conditioned news".

The thing that is worrying me are the stats. They just don't make sense.

Total employment last month decreased by only 20,000. But part-time employment increased 300K as part of that total. My question is did part-time employment really increase by that amount, and if so why? Isn't it just the case that because part time employment only has to be a single day at any point in the month, the part-tme stats are easier to fudge. Either way you look at it over a quarter of million people got kicked out of full-time employment and the rates for part-timers are generally going to be a lot lower.

The other thing is the retail stats. They are holding up reasonably well, but when you look at the company profits stats, we are getting a completely different story. Daimler, BMW, Toyota and Philiphs have noted big drops in sales in the US. Imports are way down even from China. Canada is going into recession because sales from the US are drying up. Are we really expected to believe this is all being off-set by investments in GM's gas guzzlers? True some US Multi-Nationals notably Cisco have big increases in profits, but these are mainly being derived from China and India, which are stated to be "on fire".

Oh, yeah. And when we look at the latest labour stats the strongest employment sector is supposed to be Financials? Give me a break!

I am afraid what the US needs right now is external independent auditing.

Look for fifty years the World Economy has been little more than a US conspiracy. They controlled the Finance, the Mineral Resources, the Currency and the Markets. It was always a heads we win -tails you lose situation.

When it came to domains, the whole news and markets were being controlled by the ASCII dot commers who were mainly... Yes you have got it!
That is why IDNFs got set up. At one time you could virtually get banned at DNF for even mentioning IDNs. Any of you got the balls to talk about them on Rick's board?... Thought not!

Now we have the same thing here. We have freedom of speech as long as we say what they want to hear...... Well, Bollocks to that!

It is a new World and a new era and of course they are all welcome along, but they are not going to gag us whilst pontificating about freedom and democracy.

Shall we change our tone and attitude to welcome a new era presented by

President Barack Obama and Vice President Hillary Clinton?
