Peer Names and the menace to Domains
Windows Vista will bring Peer Names, or P2P Domains. And it's a mouthful; a serverless DNS technology that allows nodes to discover each other. Think about that for a second. It allows your Windows Vista box to become its own DNS server. No need to pay $9 to register each domain name. But there's a catch; it's limited to the domain name pnrp.net.
If it ever loses the pnrp.net dependency and assumes it's full scope domainers are in deep trouble...or am I seeing this wrong?
