Ascii - go google it. it is what you refer to as "normal domains". you know the ones that have all gone long ago, and all that is available right now is, areallylongsetofcrapwords.com or some typo like a reelylongsetofwerds.com
or maybe jibberish.mobi
idn's on the other hand are none of the above. go google that.
this forum and the people here get all excited about idn's, not "normal domains".
