I think with the new idn.ru coming sooner or later, it is only worthy if it's "graphically alike", because they have a law now that only graphically alike domain owners will be able to register idn.ru domains equals to those. they say there are still some available. but the problem with russia is that they can simply cancel that law (which i personally think will happen because there is a good reason for that...) and than the money was used unwisely. so, my answer is: no.
