On August 1, 2007 at 12:00 p.m. CDT (-5GMT), The nv.com Registry, LLC will be offering registration of domain names under the nv.com root name giving Nevada businesses and individuals the opportunity to register generic or premium domain names they otherwise missed the opportunity to before.

Some examples of registrations will be LasVegas.NV.com, Travel.NV.com, Tickets.NV.com and RealEstate.NV.com.
In order to prepare for this historic launch, The nv.com Registry is recommending that businesses and organizations start now to review their trademark portfolios to identify potential names to register. They also recommend solidifying strategies for registration as all registrations will happen on a first-come, first-served basis.
