Yea, even in singapore, a million dollars would barely last a middle class family 10-12 years.
A million bucks in a small chinese city would be sufficient for a lifetime though. |

Enblocking has pushed up the market artificially. Many estates like bayshore park, prices doubled in the first six month of 2007 because people were punting on enblock. This pushed the overall market upwards.
Enblocks are funded by reits and hedge funds marketed to wealthy Europeans and Americans investors. The leveraged hedge funds will be out of the money by this time next year.
