Just couple of comments... (not native, except for translation of the "meaning" of characters for you - sorry)...

Means "broadband" (as in broadband internet)... Pin Yin is "kuan dai" (dai means belt or band, so is quiet literal translation) and it is only simplified Chinese (for traditional characters the same term is 寬帶).

Not sure how useful this IDN really is, unless you run an ISP... Baidu shows 961 searches per day (not super high for an internet term - but then again, I hardly search for this term in English, if I have ever)...

PS: another option for "broadband" is "宽频" (simplified - kuan pin) and "寬頻" traditional... but this term seems to be more used in traditional Chinese (means frequency basically)... only about 262 searches per day on Baidu for simplified version...
