Hello from Bellevue, WA, USA
I started buying domain names in mid-1996, and only started buying IDN a few months ago. My academic background is in physics, mathematics, and computer science. In my "day job" I work in the research group of a large corporation where I focus on "NP-Complete" problems in mathematics, hence the username. My overall focus is in the mathematics of distributed systems, and the problems involved in designing survivable distributed systems that meet performance and reliability demands. The DARPA Ultralog system for "survivable" distributed computing uses my solver for state management of risk and performance of a distributed agent system. I use techniques in physics (modeled on a computer) to solve NP-hard problems in math in near real time. I also run a few sites that get about 10,000 page views/day, and own about 1500 other ascii domains that I park for ppc at Fabulous and others, and about 150 IDN. I heard about dnlocal at idnforums.
