Just to provide the proper translation: ทวีป in Thai means continent and ยุโรป means Europe. So the term actually means European Continent (or Continent of Europe). In Thai, qualifiers are commonly used to describe locations so this is not a bad term. Both ยุโรป and ทวีปยุโรป are used.
