These medium to small city names in .net should be worth $100- $500 (in reality, probably a lot more) to an enduser who wants to develop them in the next few years. So if you have the money to continue to renew them, IMO your not going to lose.
Assuming you hold them for 3 years x $5.50 (or even 5 years) and have somewhere around $ 20- $25 invested, your going to make a pretty nice ROI. I am more inclined to invest in .net GEO domains than any other sector, there will always be a demand for city names, and it is relatively easy to find groups of potential end users.
