It's not that, it's just that people that made money become risk adverse. This is how life works, the more money you made, the more chicken you become.
Throwing in one or two hundred grand to get some experience with a new business is not a big deal. When i went into domains, i threw in money into ASCIIs, only to lose a third of it despite trying to get out early.
What worked in the past, may not work in the future. Fact is now, the world has changed, 2008 marks a great global transition, the last world order of 1960-2007 has ended.
