Default IE and FF face Japanese competition

http://www.pcworld.com/businesscente...e_firefox.html

In Japan the browser has a 9 percent market share, according to Fenrir. No independent data to verify that claim is available but a recent survey of 3,003 computer programmers published by Nikkei ITpro put Sleipnir's share at 6 percent among that group.

interesting.. just took it for a test drive

at first the skin & icons look like a FF rip, but with one big difference, idn.com etc render as idn, no dumb whitelisting back to punycode.

FF is faster, and more secure. Firefox is the superior browser for the consumer.

It would be if it dropped all this White Listing nonsense.

Otherwise, it is just king in the World's fastest contracting economy.
