Default IE 7 RC1 Roll Out

Sound to me that you no longer have to have the Pluggin installed, but are somehow being intercepted without it. Does this mean that they have finally introduced some quick fix for IE 6 to handle IDN without installation of the pluggin.

Yes, when it goes to Verisign to be resolved (cause it's a .com), Verisign returns that.

Thus, and finally, my point is: we are NOT loosing as much traffic as we imagine.

I just hope I am wrong...

I guess I'm slow today...

I still can't resolve IDNs with IE6. I just get an error. I assume that the general population can't either. What am I missing?

Nice one Verisign. In other words they are now pushing hard to get everyone IDN compatible even those stuck with IE 6. It sounds as though this is a very recent development, and it sounds like part of a pre-agreed concerted strategy by the big players. I think Microsoft and Verisign are actually talking to one another and that Verisign know that IE 7 is rolling off the production line.

Humm, that would be interesting to find out. All you need to get that from Verisign is a clean ie6 instalation. Must be some OS issue...

Can you even get IE6 anymore? Maybe it came with one of the patches?
