Default McAfee - Microsoft Row explodes

And how will Bill deal with this? Well, I guess in the usual high handed manner. What are his options? Well for once it looks good. My guess is he will put the heat on the street, before anyone has a chance to get their lawyers organised.

Funny. I've negotiated an agreement once between those 2 parties. Glad I'm not handling that partner relationship right now.

Did you put something so creative in the agreement that made them so mad at each other now? Before the agreement you negotiated, they were very good friends.

The two parties have lots of ties to each other and my agreement is but one of them that as far as I know is still working well for both parties. Ultimately, I think they will work this out.

Thanks for the insights.

A little on the Japanese Prime Minister's Website might also go down well.

Did Microsoft start to favor Symantec against McAfee? I thought Symantec has the larger marketshare for AV software?

Well at end of day, Microsoft has OneCare which is its own AV solution. So these companies are all competitors in the AV market. And these kind of flame-ups can be expected from time-to-time.

Effectively with Vista, Microsoft is locking everyone out of the kernel which will destroy the effectiveness of third party AV offerings. Symantec has the same problem.
