Default CNNIC redirect promoting IE7

It would seem that unresolvable addresses to dot CN, perhaps only those with Chinese Characters are being directed to information page about IE7.

Can anyone provide more info on this, as this could greatly increase roll out speed of IE7!

Well, it appears to be a flash banner advert extolling the virtues of ie7, but it only appears if someone types in a non-existent chinese .cn address, and to do that, they need an IDN compatible browser in the first place!

Only use would be to alert people with ie6 with plugin to upgrade to ie7, but then they're going to have plugin conflicts anyway.

Not sure about this, I think we need to find out what happens if you do this using virgin IE6 both inside and outside China.
