Reading some of the latest articles, it seems clear that Safari is going to be bundled with iTune download programme updates. So iTunes is going to be used as a vector for Safari, which is then going to be used as a vector for pretty much everything else. There are already about 200M iTunes customers, so it looks as though the success of Safari Windows is just about guaranteed. The "watch your back Bill" message is clearly out there. It would also seem that Apple are set on running Google style web applications. Jobs is set on dismantling the MS empire one brick at a time. He has a dismantling sequence all worked out. To me this looks like the end of the road for the legacy architecture of the 8086 based processor machines.
