Any way to get Firefox usage to increase in Japan would be helpful at this point. Although IE7 is moving in the right direction, it sure is taking it's sweet time.

Also, since a lot of the Japanese as well as Koreans work long hours at work, perhaps it's the office environments that are stuck on IE6 and don't want to upgrade to IE7....just like in the U.S.

It is just an explanation of the slow development of Japanese Traffic. Nothing more.

All we can do is wait. Those holding Japanese names will just have to wait a little longer than most.

By the way, speaking of Japan...are you parking your Japanese IDN's RD? And if so, where?

Namedrive. I don't think it matters much at this stage.

i just checked my japanese idns that don't get much serp traffic (always parked names), as compared to one year ago, traffic has gone up by a factor of between 3 to 6. So, the multiplier for type-in names is at least 3 for that 10% hike.

Two problems. One is the relationship is almost certainly non-linear, and you are an axis missing.

I'm basing my 10% hike last 1 year on the assumption that the grey line (which is unknown, 不明), is not firefox or ie7.
