Bon voyage! Who ever thought to push that 6-letter TLD on people anyway? If it weren't for .museum, .coop and .aero I'd say it was the stupidest one ever!
You had to be certified and pay $99/year I think and just to get the great benefit of their directory? I think it's a very good development, as it forces ICANN to produce a policy for dealing with registries that just ain't making it. |

Well I remember looking into it. Their claim to fame is http://travel.travel
You could only reg one domain, the name of your company as opposed to say, rome.travel or hawaii.travel or space.travel and you needed to turn in paperwork, or belong to one of the 2 main travel associations to even qualify to pay your $100 reg fee. Next time some genius proposes some TLD like .museum let someone cite this as an example of why not to bother. |
