RIYADH, 14 November 2006 — On the morning of his visit to Saudi Arabia, Bill Gates met with CEOs from 20 top Saudi firms. The CEOs listened to Gates’ address attentively but then they asked him a few questions of their own. Microsoft technology is pervasive in the market, in part thanks to the company’s strong Arabization efforts.

Yes even if you go to the Arabic Microsoft Development homepage the Arabic Downloads link still has IE6
http://www.microsoft.com/middleeast/...v/default.aspx The main Middle East page offers IE7 but this is the section for Arabic web developers. You might hope that they all realise there is a new version by now but it's not exactly promising coming from Microsoft who might at least be keeping their own website up to date... |
