It's much cheaper to buy from RD's mass auctions and no hassle of dealing with dubious registrars..

From my limited ascii experience, when that happens, it means the hype is at its peak. :banghead:
Things have barely got going. At the moment there is so little price resistance that people are little concerned that there are better places to buy names. Snap get far more in the secondary market that you two bit ASCIIer can command anywhere else. IDNs will probably be no different. Yes, there is better value elsewhere but only the discerning will know that. Many people are happy that they have got value simply because they won a competitive auction. The problem is if you are bidding against two or three others working on the same principle, you can end up with complete rubbish.

bountifulbreasts.com $2,850
wwwgamespot.com $2,300

ok, i think i must be living in a well, lost touch.

The problem is that the market is split. At the top end names are still not fetching enough. $1.5 million is nothing like enough for a name like Cameras.com. At the bottom end dot coms are fetching far too much. The just aren't 50M plus good dot coms out there! By contrast some extensions particularly dot net are in my view severely undervalued.

Hey word on the street is people are still talking about the first IDN billionaire , yeah its a little optimistic but by golly there are some really greedy folks that play in this game. And who can blame people for picking up gold by the bucket loads

A billion is a very very remote possibility. I think $100M is reasonably achievable. It is a racing certainty that someone will get past the $10M mark. To be getting to that level, however, you'll need buckets full of gold not heaps of low grade ore.

Late into the game? Well there is still an awful lot of value in the aftermarket.

lets be a lil realistic. I don't think 100M

At least 1M....

the average ascii with the top names isn't holding onto 100M
