Coca Cola has a real problem with PR in India as the local were using it as a cheap insecticide!

Strangely enough India is more proactive in other areas. They've completely banned the antiiflammatory drug numesulid due to it's kidney destroying effects, whereas most countries limit it to adult usage.

I don't like carbonation so soft drinks are out for me. Lucky side effect.
Careful with the Soy, as much sugar as soft drinks. Unless you drink the unsweetened form.

I am afraid in India, it's not just Limca but it's coke, Fanta, Sprite and more.

There are alot of beverages that are sold by a large company that are only sold in certain regions of the world. Some products that Coke sells in France aren't available in the U.S. and vice versa.

Even Pepsi sells a few carbonated products in the Western U.S. that you aren't able to get in the Eastern part.
There are also even more subdivided regions- southwest etc.
