Looking at the 구글.kr, it doesn't look like masked forwarding to me. It seems to be a fully parallel experience.

Default Google and Microsoft IDN's

Seems to me that rather than mask forwarding to the .co.kr site they are setting up the IDN as the main site. It would seem that once they are confident that everything is behaving properly it will be the .co.kr that will be going onto redirect. If that is the case that show real commitment and solid precedent for the rest to follow!

The think is it seems they are after domain.country tld. They seem to desregard idn.com...

That's actually the answer I was hoping for. Publicity from lawsuits Google VS ... will be big time for IDNers, of course, this is my opinion only... But it will def. set off some sparks and add a lot of value to the IDNs.

There will be plenty of disputes over who owns what. Too many large organisations have been caught with their pants down to expect any other outcome.
