Need to read the full transcript because I missed much Klensin, but from what I could gather it ain't going to happen immediately and the Policy guys are moderating their ideas to confirm with technical reality much as I have previously suggested. It would seem that some countries actually want extension like .theformeryugoslavianrepulbicofmacedonia well, if that is what they want, then give it to them. The longer the the better. If dot RU maps to some like .РоссийскаяФедерация, then we are home and dry.
Verisign were there monitoring the situation asking questions about proposals for dispute resolution. My initial assessment was that thing will take a while longer yet but they are moving in a sensible and useful direction.
