Default Languages/New Traffic Question

Is anyone now seeing regular traffic to a language that had little or no traffic in 2006?

Yes, Azeri. Also Hindi, but that's mainly from US.

I see a lot of Hebrew from Asia this year. Almost all my Hebrew traffic is from Asia. No idea why.

Do you think the US Hindi is really domainers or US Hindi speakers?

Probably because a lot of the Boca Crowd have rung up there second cousins in Tel Aviv and told them to register anything with two ends to it.

On Hindi, I am still baffled!

Israel traffic is classified as 'Asia' on ND. 95% of my Hebrew traffic comes from 'Asia' which I assume includes Israel.

I don't see how this has anything to do with anything.

I was merely suggesting that some non-Hebrew speaking Jewish people in the US, might have got some assistance from people that know in Israel to help them get on the registration bandwagon. Most of the hype around IDN has been Hebrew related and it would appear that somebody is getting on the bandwagon. I think a big up-turn in Hebrew traffic at this time is just a little too coincidental.

I know we have a few members in that area, that are solid IDN community, but even I am pleased I am not an IDNer in Boca at the moment. But I am sure you guys will have the last laugh.

What big up-turn in Hebrew traffic? My Hebrew traffic has been steady for several months now. It's also one of the few languages that is NOT hitting a new high in clicks this month. I think many of us are mistaking noise for trends.

People are so touchy these days no? Yes that would be interesting indeed.

As for the "boca" thing, although there are many domainers in south florida area, in the public eye we are almost invisible under the shadow of your nemesis Rick. I was actually trying to provoke a laugh to help heal battle wounds from that bruising "car crash" thread. Maybe I should style myself as the anti-boca, since I also think .mobi are a fad and IDN are inevitable reality?

Maybe my wishful thinking, but my Hebrew traffic has not been steady until the last month. My domains pale in comparison to yours, so they are probably not a great indicator.

On the other hand, the breadth and volume of Cyrillic traffic is definitely increasing. Definite trend. At least for me....
