Looks like sites with smaller domain names have a higher rank at Google. 69% correlation. Is it? http://swivel.com/graphs/show/5145355 This is based on the Google Search Engine Ranking - January 2007 http://swivel.com/data_sets/show/1002789 Too bad they don't have country tld data yet nor IDN.

Swivel is a cool tool. Need to find some time to play with it!
Is there any way to compare lengths of domain names which are of roughly the same age, against their google SERP rank? If newer domain names are in general longer than older domain names, that chart may be showing a relationship between old and new, instead of strictly long and short. |
