Default Korean domains

Did you know that you may never be able to build an https Korean IDN site! Why? Read here:

BTW, I almost get no traffic at all from my Korean domains. I wonder if they have also some firewall in place...

It seem to make sense if they are all stuck on IE6 with no alternative browsers!

My Korean traffic has dropped from a slow trickle to practically nothing this month. I guess there is an explanation now!

The Answer is Microsoft have not been telling the truth. IE7 is a bust in Korea!

This what triggered the Auto Updates pull. Microsoft was prepared to do that to save Vista. It sounds as though they should be pulling Vista in Korea at least, but they won't so the Government is telling everyone not to buy.

Why can't they just do a bit of research and stop telling us porkie pies?

My korean's traffic is still quite consistent, goes up and down, and then up, and down again. Try and isolate if a particular name is distorting your data, sometimes index changes for one name can skew the overall pic.

Very interesting post.

It appears that the huge broadband take-up in Korea is because it is subsidised by the Govt.

Sounds like the Mozilla guys need to add SEED capability to Firefox, to start making progress.

Yes this explains a lot for me re: the missing traffic on my Korean domains lately. But what was driving traffic before? serps?

Anyway, lotsa Korean drops lately; maybe some people getting frustrated.

Korean has always been a large percentage of the drop, mainly rubbish with the occasional gem in there
