Chinese Domain Names reach 4.11 million

Not only had the number of internet users in China reached 137 million according to this article, but there about 4.11 million Chinese domain names by the end of 2006. Of these 1.8 million were .cn domain names, up 64.4% compared with the same period of last year. 1.94 million were .COM domain names, accounting for 47% of China’s total domain names.

Total Number of Registered CO.JP Domain Names Exceeds 300,000

In January the number of co.jp domain names registered passed 300,000 according to this news release from Japan Registry Services with the total number of .jp domain names reaching 882,325.
