Default Welcome from IDNForums!

Continuing on the post I recently made on IDNForums, encouraging everyone to move here, I think some discussions are in order.

Some people have expressed issues with DNLocal on a technical and managerial level. I think now is the perfect time and here is the perfect place to clear up any of those issues so we can start turning DNLocal into the place we all want it to be.

I personally have no problems with DNLocal as it stands right now.

In fact, I would like to see a comeback of the Elite Auction platform.

This thread can serve as a sounding board for people to put forth their constructive suggestions. However, please do not start petty arguments or name-calling. Keep it positive.

Elite Auctions would actually be interesting right about now.

Yeah, the market has changed quite a bit since it was tried last year. I know for a fact of several groups of people -- with money -- who are taking IDN's quite seriously now, who weren't six months ago.

dnlocal is and has been here for some time and is 'open for business'
RD, myself and Jose are running it as it were and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future .. we have discussed what direction to go in but are always open to constructive input on what you want to see here .. if there is enough demand for an auction we will run it gladly

Some people on IDNF were saying they want vBulletin. Personally I'm not sure what the big difference is, but it's something I think we should consider if enough quality posters (touchring, markits) want it.

I also like Dave's idea of a private section, and I would add that it should be invitation only.

Giant mentioned that DNLocal might be blocked in China? Can anyone verify this?

I personally don't see much difference between this and vBulletin but I know some are just use to vBulletin .. functionally there is little difference

This is something currently being discussed

Private area, not that I'd expect to be invited, would be damn great. Sometimes it's not the best thing to do to post some things in public.

Seems like it but we are working hard to rectify this with our host .. looks like someone else on our server was a naughty boy ... Fine from Singapore .. I know that's not China ...

Of course you'd be invited. The logic behind the invites would be to keep out random flippers and other people who we may not necessarily trust. Anyone with a good reputation who is a true part of the community should be welcome.
