pm replied to - sorry i just moved and it takes 10 days for friggin ntt to come and push the button to get me connected - bah. and that was my comment too - why godaddy i hate those lamers - change the whois and they lock your domain for 60 days. very lame.

Ops, I just read in dynadot that
"A new domain cannot be transferred for the first 60 days." Is it applicable for our case? In fact 60 days didn't pass since i registered うそ.com. It was created at 29-jan-2008 .

 I just noticed, but it seems that Seesawgame managed to bid on my auction in 3 hours before it was about to finish. This means that it is still running, and I added 2 more days to it to compensate for the forum downtime. IDNers in general (that I know anyway) do not use godaddy .. regardless of the 'coupon codes' .. Dynadot and Domainsite would be the top two ... IMO anyway .. that is correct .. can't be transfered away from godaddy until 60 days have passed .. you will have to ask your buyers if they are willing to put up with a GD account and all the BS that goes along with it!

But it is so damn cheap. Registering a lot of domains with godaddy can save u a lot of $$$. Dynadot with privacy is around 11$, right? And godaddy is 6.95 and plus icann fee makes it 7.15 with free privacy. So it saves u 4$ on each domain.

Sure it's cheap but you will find it hard to push IDNs to others (unless they have an account there already)
If you want privacy then thats your call .. I personally don't use it much (except on a very select few) Dynadot prices are $7.50 for .com .. $5.75 for .net and add $2 for privacy (Bear in mind this is after you have spent $500 in the past year) Additionally ... you can delete from Dynadot within 5 days if its a 'bad' registration for no charge (Post it and ask for opinions .. then decide) .. you'll get an account credit. It's up to you to weigh up the pros and cons

The cheapest for new .com registrations is is name.com
5.99 for .com for the first year and 7.99 for subsequent years. When registering, you have to type in the puny code. Privacy is free of charge there.
