you are looking at it all wrong, I prefer to think of it as either an educational exercise into various culture or an addiction

You think too much Touch ...

Besides .. the 'dollar value' of lost business opportunity is dropping all the time and may even become negligible ...

Yeah, but i think the dollar might do a reversal somewhere in 2009.

The dollar is falling due to speculation money following out of the US into the EU and China. But when the real estate bubble blows up after Beijing Olympics, all the money in the world will be trying to flee China. The slow ones will be stuck as the chinese government is going to impose capital controls.

The fallout from this on the global economy will be more serious than subprime.

Disagree .. The Chinese are not stupid and will do what it takes to become the #1 Economy in the world .. How abt a small bet? $5 says I'm right and we will revisit this thread at the end of 2009?

I can only see the value of the $ falling .. for a long time yet .. 2009? My winnings will hardly buy me a plate of chicken rice ..

$100 a barrel of oil anyone?

Remember my post on IDNF when I said gold would go to $1000?
Anyone cash in on that?

Sure, no problem. $5 bet that dollar will reverse the fall in 2009.

Gold is gold. All monies are currently depreciating, although the dollar is depreciating the fastest.
