భారత్ "India" in Telugu (one of the official India language, 88 million speakers).
பாரத "India" in Tamil (one of the official India language, 77 million speakers). Is the above info correct? Should I register భారత్.net etc? Thanks.

Thanks mgrohan,
Learned something interesting today. There are two names for India: "india" and "republic of India". http://wiki.w2n.net/pages/Official_names_of_India.w2n

The Indian Name for India in tamil is Bharatham (பாரதம்). Bharatha (பாரத) is used to refer to India in a sentence but not as an individual word. Example பாரத ரத்னா (Bharatha Ratna) பாரத நாடு etc... |
