Interesting, where is the cheapest place to register a .se - i saw the price is around $50!

It's much cheaper at for instance Loopia - think they are even cheaper than the price demanded by the Swedish Internet Infrastructure Foundation - IIS.Se

Loopia's price is 137 SEK - which equals about $ 19 for an .se domain.

The one snag is that they only have the page in Swedish - but I could help walk you through it if you'd like - they also have very good support staff that knows English.

Sure are - all are welcome.

When did they open it up to IDN's. I didn't see any mention of it anywhere.

Well then you must've missed my other post - what is this - does nobody here read Swedish?

I quote from my other, now translated post:
"Since October 2003 Nic.se allow in addition to a-z, hyphen and the numbers 0-9 also the IDN signs å, ä, ö ü and é. That's it so far, and that's all we use in regular Swedish - but they have let us know that they might consider expanding the number of IDN-signs. When this will happen and what that means we have yet to see. But things are happening, although slowly, for instance in March 15 2006 they allowed purely numeral domains - which was new. We have to wait and see."

Regretably only until it has been duly registered. I.e. if you order a name and regret it before they've had time to registrer it - they will let you change to another name (if they have already received payment .)
