looking at their homepage even thought I haven't the foggiest idea what it says I can pick out "Internet Explorer 7" and "IDN".

A good idea is to use bulk check at for instance domaindiscount24.com since loopia.se only allows you to check one at a time.

I'm trying to understand a little of this, the first year being free, but are we complied to register and pay for the 2nd year? Or can we decide not to continue after the first year?

It's totally up to you to decide if you want another year or not. When this free year is up you can terminate all the domains without ever having payed a single cent. No strings - all to win.

I've just regged about 50 of these while waiting for IE7

it's pretty painful, one at a time, and I was surpirsed how hard .se has been hit, I must have checked 1000 names to get 50, and all the obvious stuff has gone.

still, you can't moan at the price.

Yes, I sure wish Loopia would change their system - this is as you say painfully slow. Still good going of you to get those 50 names - I myself have only got about 25 so far. But as you say - the price makes up for the hassle!
